SU-122-44 Russian Premium Tank Destroyer Review (Part 2)

Welcome to part 2!

Going to try and keep this a bit shorter.

The armour, as said in the comments of the previous blog the armour is 175mm thick (With the angle that is).
This tank is a campy snipy tank that loves to sit at the back (Unless its in a tier 5-6 game then hell, go for it). But when in tier 7-9 games you definitely want to sit back a bit and let your scouts do the scouting (Who would have thought of that!) Watch out of hitting your heavies though as it can be a bit of trouble sometimes - that's why i recommend not sitting too far back but try and keep our of sight and in a good bush.
Another thing that i noticed about this marvelous machine is it is VERY low profile. Its about the height of the Stug - maybe a bit taller so sitting behind walls is not a good idea (You wont be able to shoot but you will still be high enough to be shot).

The best equipment for this tank is a gun rammer, camo net and a gun laying drive. At least thats what i use to maximize performance out of this beast. For crew skills - Commander (Sixth Sense), Gunner (Deadeye), Driver (Clutch braking) and The Loader (Safe Stowage). For the next set you will need to Jack Of All Trades on the commander, repairs for the gunner and loader and off-road driving for the driver.

Thanks for reading, stay tuned for tomorrow's post.

SU-122-44 Russian Premium Tank Destroyer Review (Part 1)

Tier 7 Premium Russian Tank Destroyer

Hey tankers, today i will be reviewing the SU-122-44 Russian tank destroyer.

This review will be a bit more in-depth for this tank (Over the SU-100Y)

First lets talk about the armour, this armour is strange in such as it is very well angled and not half bad thickness (Not great). Don't expect to be bouncing shots from anything too soon. You may get a few lucky bounces here and there but definitely don't rely on it.
The next part to this tank is the engine, keeping it short - its quite fast and maneuverable, that being said it has a horrible speed when backing up.
The gun depression is well....Russian and obviously not very good.
The accuracy is better than most Russian TD's but still make sure to aim before shooting.
On the topic of the gun though, its a monster. I may even say OP but don't want it nerfed. with a 6 second reload (With a Gun Rammer) it can tear up an opponent quickly. I have found this tank does 270-400ish damage.
It is a GREAT sniping tool as well.

Stay tuned for Part 2 (Internet cut out)

SU-100Y Russian Premium Tank Destroyer Review

Hello tankers, sorry about the lack of posts lately. I should be able to keep a steady stream of content now!

Ok with that out of the way, i would like to talk to you all about the Russian Premium Tank destroyer.

First of all ill start off with the cons

Cons -
There is no armour at all.
View Range is absolutely horrible.
Reload time is...long.

Pros -
Apocalyptic gun
Loads Faster than the KV-2
pretty darn fast.

All that being said - it gives you a pretty good idea of how it plays.

Very much worth it.

World Of Tanks "Story"

Sorry to everyone who reads this blog usually as i have been working on a project. This shows the life of a tanker and his very interesting story. You'd look at the idea and think its weird - trust me, it took a lot of time thinking about it. It shows a person sort of transforming into the game and it feels like he is actually in the tank with the other crew members. There is adrenaline pumping shots that fire at super sonic speed towards the small tank in front of them.

This will be able to read in "Chapters" each day on the blog (Wont replace normal news).

So be prepared to join this action packed story.

We are also looking for editors, writers and artists who want to help out voluntarily.

Have fun and keep your tracks rolling.

Why New Players Should Not Care About There Win Rate.

I've noticed a slight change in the player base. People seem to care a lot more about their stats, the overall performance in game while still being beginners, 'noobs'. With only a few thousand battles you shouldn't judge yourself by stats. And neither should anybody else. That's something I dislike to see nowadays, people act like jerks and are rude if their team consist of 'noobs' and XVM says that there's 'only' 45% chance of winning. F the numbers. That attitude will drag the team down even more.

The main thing is that you should be advancing and getting better all the time as a World of Tanks player. Stats don't tell you that directly with small numbers of matches played. There's a huge number of tanks which will drag down the overall win rate if you aren't doing well while grinding through them. On the other hand, there are some tanks that will enable you to perform very well even you weren't the best player, like KV-1 with it's big damage output. 40 total fail games in AMX 40 will affect a lot in the stats with a thousand battles played overall but the more battles you play, the less those bad battles will make difference in the end, as long as you just keep improving your gameplay.

So there's nothing to worry about if you can't improve your win rate in low tiers during the first few thousand battles. Some tanks just are 'handicapped', meaning that there are naturally weaker tanks and they take their time to get adapted to. To balance the bad tanks, every tech tree has some very strong tanks that are worth the grind of some downright awful tanks. Every one of us were noobs when we started playing World of Tanks. There's no point sharing the hate down to the noobs of today. Let's accept a new positive way of looking our fellow tankers, they will learn the essence of this game earlier or later.
