Patch 8.11 (World of Tanks)

Not long ago the test server was released for patch 8.11 of world of tanks. It brought a small update before the supposed "Whopping 9.0 Update".  This update included a new map, the Tier 10 tank destroyer nerfs and the reworking of a few maps.

The new map is windstorm and it has a small city in the center with 3 choke point bridges and then the it is surrounded by an open field with a windmill either side. The windmill does not hold any advantages at all and there is not much cover. I guess this map tries to support getting off your ass and doing some work on the battlefield instead of campy campy snipy snipy. The rest of the map changes have followed this fashion in removing most camping spots and making them not as desirable. Mediums and Lights will now actually be fun instead of a stressful grind to get that awesome Tier 10...Cough Cough.

The tank destroyer nerfs most impacted the Foch 155 which went from 850 to 750 damage and lowered armour and pen. ALL tier 10 TD guns that had 850 damage now do 750 (Including the BL-10on the ISU-152).

So thats basically it for this review and i will catch you next time

Cheers,

  2. You might want to check your facts first, the BL-10 did 750 damage BEFORE the patch and the pen was only reduced on Tier 10 TD gold rounds, not the regular rounds.

Also mediums were fun before the patch, it was mainly heavies which suffered from the OP TD's.
