So you just started World of Tanks. You have no idea how this game works. You don't know which tanks to buy and research.
But one thing is for certain, you play this game because you like ARMOUR.
Take a look at the extreme right of the German tank tree. You see this gigantic squarish tank called the Maus.
That, is what you want.
The name "Maus" means "Boss" in ancient Greek, and that tank is what its name says. It takes hits like a boss and dishes out damage like a boss, with amazing 200/185/160 mm thick armor and 150cm cannon. It contains more power than a battleship - battleships float on water, this thing is even heavier so it sinks in water.
But before getting the Maus, you will need to research the tanks before it. But fear not, beginner, these tanks are very beginner friendly, and you get to play a good mix of light, medium and heavy tanks to learn the game quickly.
The line starts with light tanks. You reach the highest-tier light tank at tier 4 - Pz38nA, which is also the best light tank in the game. Amazing agility and gun penetration, this little bug can zoom into the enemy lines providing valuable intel for your team, while netting a few kills for itself.
Tier 5 and 6 gives you the medium tanks PzIV and VK 30.01 (P), the famous tanks that fought in WWII. Oh did I mention that all tanks in this tank line fought bravely in WWII? More reason to get these tanks. The size of VK 30.01 (P) may be huge, but this is compensated by lots of HP and heavy-tank-level weaponry. It is essentially a heavy tank, but moves around so fast, it is classified as a medium.
From these tiers onwards it is all heavy tanks, right up to the tier X tank Maus. And once you get a tier X tank, you can participate in Clan Wars and win in-game gold! You want to play CW as soon as possible, so your first tier X has to be a Maus, which is always demanded by the clans due to its powerful performance.
